Web Design Process
Purchasing a website is easy, simply follow these steps.
1. Research
- Do some market research and have a look at what your competitors are doing on their websites.
- Decide what you need from your website in terms of features and functionality.
2. Domain & Hosting
- Purchase a domain (www.example.com). We recommend the following registrars: Webolution, Crazy Domains or GoDaddy.
- Purchase web hosting. Certain types of web hosting services will NOT work with our Content Management System. This is why your web hosting must be through our web hosting services. 3. Fill in the Website Design Order Form
- Choose a web design package that suits you. Fill in the Website Design Order Form and complete payment.
4. Design Concepts
- Receive your design concepts and give us feedback. Each package comes with a different number of revisions to make changes to the initial concepts.
5. Design Approval
- Make sure you have requested all revisions before approving the final design, as changes once the development process has begun will be charged at our hourly rate of $49.00 with a minimum charge of one hour.
6. Website Development
- Once the final design has been approved, we will start developing the website. While we are hard at work behind the scenes, we recommend you begin working on your website content. Then when your website is ready, you can just copy and paste your content in! (Do this in a plain text editor, like Notepad or Text Edit.)
- The development process can take up to two weeks.
7. Handing Over
- We hand the website over to you and give you access to the CMS web console.
- There is a 7 day testing period to iron out any bugs in the website.
